4L Automatic Cat Feeder with Scheduled Meals -- Camera Version or Standard Version

Both versions hold 4L of dry kibble and schedule up to 8 meals a day. The difference is visibility: the camera version adds a 3MP night vision camera and two-way audio so you can see and speak to your cat remotely. The standard version handles feeding reliably without a camera, at the same price.

Choose Your Version

  • 4L with 3MP Camera (Model TD20) -- White: Built-in 3MP camera with IR night vision, motion detection, two-way audio, micro SD card slot for video storage. For owners who want remote visual monitoring in addition to scheduled feeding.
  • 4L Standard (Model anfeeder05-2) -- Black: Scheduled feeding with app control and portion management. No camera, no audio. For owners who want reliable timed feeding without the monitoring features.

Both versions are $45.99 with free US shipping.

Who This Is For

Cat owners who work regular hours and want meals to happen on time without daily effort. People who travel for a night or a weekend and want peace of mind about feeding. Anyone looking for a compact, reliable first automatic feeder for one cat or a small dog.

Note: Both versions work with dry kibble only (up to 10mm diameter). Neither is compatible with wet food, semi-moist food, or irregularly shaped treats.

Key Specifications -- Both Versions

  • Capacity: 4L (approximately 16.9 cups)
  • Meals per day: Up to 8 scheduled meals, 1-10 portions per meal (approximately 10g per portion)
  • Kibble size: Up to 10mm (0.39 in) diameter
  • WiFi: 2.4GHz only -- does not support 5GHz-only networks
  • Power: USB anti-bite cable (included) or D-size backup batteries (not included)
  • App: iOS and Android

Camera Version Only (4L with 3MP Camera)

  • Camera: 3MP HD with IR night vision
  • Motion detection: Push notifications when activity is detected near the feeder, sensitivity adjustable in app
  • Audio: Two-way -- built-in microphone and speaker
  • Video storage: Micro SD card up to 128GB (not included)
  • Alerts: Low food level and device offline notifications via app

Camera and Night Vision (Camera Version)

The 3MP camera with IR night vision streams video to your phone day or night. Motion detection sends a push notification when activity is detected near the feeder -- useful for confirming your cat ate or for spotting any issues. Sensitivity is adjustable in the app so you can reduce false alerts.

Video can be saved locally to a micro SD card up to 128GB (not included). No cloud subscription is required for local recording.

Two-Way Audio (Camera Version)

The built-in microphone and speaker let you hear and speak to your cat in real time through the app. You can also record a voice message that plays automatically at each scheduled meal. Cats that hear a familiar voice at mealtime tend to approach the feeder more readily during the adjustment period.

Feeding Schedule -- Both Versions

Set up to 8 meals per day through the app, with 1-10 portions per meal (approximately 10g per portion). The app logs each dispensed meal so you can confirm your cat ate and track eating patterns over time. Trigger a manual feeding from your phone at any time.

If WiFi drops: The feeder continues to run the last saved schedule. App-based features are not available until WiFi is restored.

4L Capacity

Four liters suits one cat well and can handle a small dog depending on portion size. How many days it lasts depends entirely on daily portion amount. The app sends a low food alert when the hopper needs a refill.

Power and Battery Backup -- Both Versions

Both versions run on the included anti-bite USB power cable. If the power goes out, they switch automatically to D-size backup batteries to keep the feeding schedule running.

Note: D-size backup batteries are not included.

Food Safety and Hygiene

  • Food-contact components are made from food-safe materials
  • Desiccant bag included -- sits inside the hopper to help keep kibble dry between meals
  • Removable components are hand-washable -- do not submerge the main unit

Common Questions

What is the main difference between the two versions?
The camera version (white) adds a 3MP night vision camera, motion detection alerts, two-way audio, and SD card video storage. The standard version (black) handles scheduled feeding and app control without any camera or audio features. Both are $45.99.

Can I use this with wet food?
No. Both versions dispense dry kibble only, up to 10mm in diameter. Wet food, semi-moist food, and irregular-shaped treats are not compatible and may cause clogging.

My router only shows 5GHz. Will this work?
No. Both versions require a 2.4GHz network. Most dual-band routers broadcast both bands -- check your router settings to enable 2.4GHz before setup.

Does the camera version require a cloud subscription for video?
No. Video is saved locally to a micro SD card (not included, supports up to 128GB). No subscription is needed for local recording.

What happens if the power goes out?
Both versions switch automatically to D-size backup batteries and continue the saved feeding schedule. App features are unavailable until power is restored. Batteries are not included.

Is this feeder suitable for two cats?
Both versions have one bowl. Two cats eating the same kibble on the same schedule can share it, though food-motivated cats may compete at the bowl. If your cats need separate portions or separate meal times, a dual-bowl model may be a better fit.

Can I use freeze-dried kibble?
Yes, if the pieces are up to 10mm in diameter and have a regular round or uniform shape. Irregular freeze-dried pieces or crumbly textures may cause dispensing issues.
